SUPSI Master of Science in Business Administration with Major in Innovation Management – Video Conference with swissnex China
Manno, Switzerland – Friday October 31st 2014, the students of the first and second year of the Master of Science in Business Administration with Major in Innovation Management had the opportunity to follow a video conference with swissnex China, on the topic of Innovation and Competitiveness in China.
Professor Siegfried Alberton, Professor of Economics & Management of Innovation at the Department of Business Economics, Health and Social Care at the University of Applied Sciences in Ticino is the scientific responsible of the Master of Science in Business Administration, with major in Innovation Management and leads the inno3 Competence Centre (innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurship). His module of Economics & Management of Innovation teaches to students the most important topics in the field of innovation at the macro, meso and micro level from an economic and management perspective. The University of Applied Sciences in Ticino is hosting for some months Professor Wu Xiao, from the Shenzhen Polytechnic, who has given a guest lecture in this module, on the Chinese Innovation System. To complete the journey throughout the geography of Innovation Systems, Professor Siegfried Alberton involved swissnex China.
The videoconference connected the Consulate General of Switzerland, in Guangzhou, and the Department of Business Economics, Health and Social Care at the University of Applied Sciences in Ticino, in Manno. The presentation began with an introduction speech held by Mr. Beat Schmid, Vice-Consul General of the Swiss Consulate in Guangzhou concerning China and the Pearl River Delta. Then the focus shifted to the role of swissnex China. Mr. Shi Bodong, Manager at swissnex China Guangzhou introduced the worldwide swissnex network and swissnex China. Professor Claudio Boër, Vice President of the University of Applied Sciences in Ticino, and Senior Advisor at swissnex China presented the China innovation potential and the Jobs and the business opportunities of this fast growing Country. Students really appreciated the speeches. They allowed them to experience a very different reality that is getting increasing relevance in the global innovation picture.
