In this seminar, Professor Claudio R. Boër will explain the idea that innovation is a cycle. He will also discuss the evolution of innovation regarding the manufacturing sector. More Importantly, he will try to help us shape our attitude towards a “new innovation” for a more sustainable society.

About Professor Claudio R. Boër

Prof. Claudio Boër has been active in China since 1991, developing more than 15 projects in cooperation with European and Swiss agencies and Local Chinese Government Institutions.

Among his many activities, he has worked for 17 years as an expert for the the Swiss Federal Commission for Technology Innovation (today Innosuisse) and has been active in Swiss precision and automation industries for 16 years.

He is currently the Vice-President of the University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland, the Vice-President of the Advisory Board of Valrosec Anstalt and a Research Fellow at CIRP – The International Academy for Production Research.

Furthermore, since 2013, he has been a Senior Advisor for swissnex China at the Consulate of Switzerland in Guangzhou.
