In our globalized world there is more and more interaction between East and West. Business success highly depends on how efficiently we cross borders. However, doing business across borders constitutes major challenges such as misunderstandings and inappropriate behaviour. That’s why there is too much loss of business. Valuable time gets lost because we unintentionally don’t understand each other and act dysfunctionally.
We are not the same. We need to understand how others are doing business and acquire new skills to bridge these differences.
In this workshop, Prof. Samuel van den Bergh will lead us to explore communication and cooperation issues between East and West. A training video of a project team between an American project manager and team members in South East Asia will be shown in the workshop.Thereafter the participats will reflect on recent issues of
the participants in communicating between Chinese and Europeans.
