The Club HEC Lausanne, in coordination with swissnex China, invites you to its talk about the challenges of social business in China. You will have the opportunity to listen to the experience of Floriane Lemoine, Project Manager of Shanghai Young Bakers. Founded in 2008, Shanghai Young Bakers (SYB) is a charity program providing a fully-sponsored French bakery training to disadvantaged Chinese youth (aged 17-23), enabling them to find qualified jobs and lead independent lives after graduation.
Floriane Lemoine Profile
Floriane is a graduate from Sciences Po Paris and Peking University. Her studies focused on her two passions: China and sustainable development. After getting actively involved in various non- profits, she realized that the most disadvantaged have all the resources to get out of poverty by themselves, all they need is for people or organizations to tap into their huge potential! She is thrilled to join a program that embodies her belief: by providing at-risk youth with an advanced-level training, Shanghai Young Bakers empowers them to lead secure and independent lives!
