The Asia Pacific Association for International Education APAIE Annual Conference and Exhibition is one of the most well-known forums in the Asia-Pacific Region for bringing together policy-makers and education experts from around the world to improve professional skills and learn about new developments in international education. Peking University, as the main host, will work together with other top Chinese institutions of higher learning, in welcoming distinguished guests to the 10th Annual APAIE Conference from March 23 – 26, 2015, in the National Convention Center of Beijing, China.

Theme of the 2015 APAIE Conference is “The New Paradigm of Engaging Asia Pacific Universities for Exchange and Cooperation in a Global Context: Challenges, Opportunities and Solutions”. Parallel sessions will be held under the topics of “regional reports”, “cross-border mobility and support services”, “programs, curricula and Instruction”, “International benchmarking and assessment”, “enhancing global engagement competence” and “trends, policies and strategies”.

“Swiss Booth”, March 24th – 26th, Beijing International Convention Center

A Swissuniversities booth will be present at C18 of APAIE Exhibition, attended by representatives of the swissnex offices and Swiss universities. The Swiss booth will serve as a meeting point for Swiss institutions to meet and interact with Asian partners. (See floor plan and visit us during APAIE!)

“Swiss Panel”, 14:00 – 15:00 March 25th, Beijing International Convention Center

Robert A. Buttery, Head of International Relations, University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, and Pascal Marmier, CEO of Swissnex in China will hold a parallel session on Wednesday March 25th, 14:00 – 15:30, Room 307, BICC on “Rethinking Mobility: New Pathways for Increasing Exchange and Research Co-operation”.

“Swiss Dinner”, 19:30 March 24th @ Swiss Residence (on invitation only)

Celebrating the presence of Swiss institutions of higher education as well as the 65th anniversary of the Sino-Swiss diplomatic relations, a Swiss Dinner will be held at the Swiss Residence for Swiss institutions and their partners in Asia.  The Swiss Dinner is a perfect opportunity to meet your partners and discuss cooperation opportunities.  Contact chenchen.liu@nulleda.admin.ch for details.

On the occasion of the APAIE Week, Mr. J.R.
