Using the opening of Prof. Ariel Ruiz i Altaba’s exhibit "Minimal Landscapes" as a jumping-off point, swissnex Shanghai presented an evening of spirited discussion on the relationship between art and science. It was a diverse group of people who attended the exhibition opening. The event was an occation for networking and sharing thoughts on bridging two interesting fields - science and art. On Thursday, April 9, the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology organised a lecture on their campus. Dr. Lei Xiao initiated the lecture and took care of the invitation. Prof. Ariel Ruiz i Altaba gave a talk to a large crowd of students and their professors on "Essentail role of Hedgehog-GLI1 signaling in cancer stem cells: implications for therapy". After the lecture, a enthusiastic question and answer round came up. swissnex Shanghai would like to acknowledge the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, especially Dr. Lei Xiao and his team for supporting the lecture and making it such a success.
