The CHRONOCHECK® project is a co-operation between the University of Applied Sciences of Jura (the only European university with a faculty on watch-making engineering), FETMO SA in Bienne (industrial chronometric insturments) and MingFeng, Dongguan-PRC (packages for high-end watches).

CHRONOCHECK is developing a novel portable low cost diagnostic equipment to measure the chronometric performances of mechanical watches "in the field" and detect its degradation. Each member from the multidisciplinary team is bringing in state of the art technology and know how in different fields (design and ergonomics, electronics, micromechanics, sensors). Innovation in terms of design and ergonomics will be particularly put forward.

Through sharing competences and know-how between small Swiss and larger Chinese companies, it will also pave the way for future collaboration and will allow CHRONOCHECK to enter a international booming market.
