Showcase - Urban Body Project
With the theme of “Information • Ecology • Wisdom”, the 3rd Art and Science International Exhibition and Symposium will be held from 1-30 November at China Science and Technology Museum. This exhibition assembles the latest cutting-edge research results in the field of art and science, integrates the current diversified ideas and diversified art forms.
As a side event of the international exhibition, swissnex China in collaboration with the Arts and Design Academy of Tsinghua University will showcase the Urban Body project at 798 Art Zone in Beijing.
Urban Body is a result of collaboration between the Art and Design Academy of Tsinghua University and the school of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). The project aims at developing own, sustainable construction techniques and prototypes based on local cultural traditions, while satisfying the needs for a more sustainable development in ecological, economic and social terms.
