swissnex China and the Food & Beverage Industry Chair of Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne (EHL) would like to invite you to an evening on the future of food safety in China. Following an expert workshop on this topic, our speakers will share their ideas on Food Safety Solutions 2025 and exchange their views with the audience on the collaborative efforts under way.

The event will take place on Wednesday November 27 at the Napa Wine Bar & Kitchen on the bund 22 owned by EHL Alumni Philippe Huser. A standing dinner and various international wines will follow the presentation.

19:00 – 19:05 Welcome remarks by Pascal Marmier swissnex China Executive Director / Vice Consul General

19:05 – 19:25 Presentation of the EHL study “Food Purchasing in Shanghai 2025” by Dr. Christine Demen Meier, Head of the innovation and entrepreneurship department at EHL, holder of the F&B Chair

19:25 – 19:45 Presentation of the food safety workshops results by Kai Kottenstede, food safety researcher

19.45 – 20:00 Keynote speech by Hans Peter Reust, Managing Director, Star Farm Consulting Co., Ltd., China.

Since Hans Peter Reust, joined Star Farm Consulting, a China-based subsidiary of Metro Group, he has carried out 2064 suppliers’ quality assessments and trained 323. 1535 food products from China are now covered by Star Farm’s traceability system. Prior to Star Farm, Mr. Reust worked for a dairy company in Switzerland and managed project for numerous international organizations.
