With a workforce of 2'500 employees and roughly 10'000 students the ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences is among the largest multidisciplinary universities of applied sciences in Switzerland.
The International Affairs Unit strengthens the international network of ZHAW. By providing conceptual documentation and coordinating international activities, the Unit contributes to the positioning of the university in the international higher education sector. It promotes exchange and interaction with international partner institutions in teaching, R&D as well as in consulting and services and continuing education.
We are looking to recruit a motivated and committed
International Project Coordinator 100%
(to commence as soon as possible). Work base will be in Zürich-Stettbach (and as of summer 2013 in Zürich downtown). This position includes the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Developing programmes and concepts
  • Maintaining and enhancing the international partnership network
  • Planning and coordinating corporate internal projects
  • Devising and realising activities and events related to international initiatives, services and products of ZHAW
  • Preparing strategic decisions
  • Supporting the Unit's head
  • Leading a small team
  • Collaboration with the president's office, other units and the international delegates of the faculties Travelling

Successful applicants for this position hold a university degree, desirably with PhD, and have a good knowledge of internationalisation in higher education. International work experience as well as fine language skills (English and French or German are a must, other languages are an asset) will facilitate interaction with people from other cultures and be conducive to your networking activities and in establishing sustainable co-operations. The ideal candidate combines an entrepreneurial, innovative spirit with organisational and conceptual skills, and will have demonstrated capabilities in managing complex projects. Excellent communication and the ability to work both in a team and independently are essential.
