The Swiss Pavilion is located inside the World Expo 2010 Shanghai site which you can access by by purchasing an Expo 2010 ticket. The price for a single day ticket is RMB 160 for a standard day. For more info about tickets and prices, please follow this link.
Program Details:
In the context of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai which will attract more than 70 million visitors from 1 May till 31 October, swissnex China will present and give the opportunity to Swiss public institutions and Universities including Universities of Applied Sciences and the two Federal Institutes of Technology (ETH Zurich and EPF Lausanne) the opportunity to showcase the latest discoveries and achievements in Science, Technology and Innovation to a large Chinese and international public.
i-net Basel Showcase

i-net Basel will showcase innovative projects and business cases in the field of water technology. Swiss and Chinese experts in the field of water technology such as wastewater treatment, water purification, industrial processes and analysis will present their ideas. The ‘Showcase” is an excellent platform to share the latest business ideas and present new technologies exclusively to a selected audience. swissnex China supports the event with its network of specialists and key leaders working in the water technology area.
Exhibition of Swiss Excellence in Science, Technology and Innovation

swissnex China will present four of the most pioneering projects from EPFL which combine both the scientific and the artistic domain. EPFL counts more than 250 laboratories and research groups on campus and is one of Europe's most innovative and productive technology institutes.
Swiss Nobelprize Laureates in Shanghai in the framework of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai

Several Swiss Nobelprize Laureates will be expected in Shanghai to give lectures whether in the Swiss Pavilion or at the prestigious Universities in Shanghai. More details to be confirmed.

VIP Lounge, Swiss Pavilion
The challenge of the initiator and adventurer Dario Schwoerer with his family is to travel to the highest peak in each of the seven continents and over the seven seas, connecting all the major climate zones, using only their own strength and natural energy such as wind and sun. Dario Schwoerer will give two talks about his experience for professors and students from Shanghai Universities, co-organised and sponsored by swissnex China, Presence Switzerland, SGS Geneva and Victorinox.
Exhibition of Swiss Design & Innovation, Design Prize Switzerland

Top quality and innovative Swiss products are awarded by the association ‘Design Prize Switzerland’ every two years. These recent and outstanding works stand for Switzerland’s longstanding tradition in industrial design. The 2009 laureates will be exhibited and organised by swissnex China at the Exhibition Area of the Swiss Pavilion.
ETH - swissnex China Expo Conference Week: 'Sino - Swiss Science in Dialogue'
13 - 17 September
VIP Lounge, Swiss Pavilion
The official opening ceremony will take place on September 13 with a talk by the celebrated Swiss star architect duo Herzog & de Meuron. Over the following days, presentations and podium discussions will examine the following aspects as part of the Expo theme “Better City, Better Life”: Air, water, mobility, energy and sustainable construction. The primary focus will be on joint projects carried out by science, government or industry as well as Swiss-Chinese cooperation projects. The conferences will take place under the patronage of Federal Councillor Moritz Leuenberger and are co-organised by ETHZ and swissnex China.
Exhibition Monte Rosa Hütte (ETHZ)
13 - 30 September

The exhibition will feature a model of the Monte Rosa Hut which is in the middle of a natural reserve with extreme alpine conditions, yet it is energetically to 90% self-contained and self-sufficient (90% autarchy). swissnex China and ETH Zurich, the Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, will feature the Monte Rosa Hut to showcase innovative construction for energy and resource efficiency to a wide public.
