Swissnex China, Switzerland's outpost for science, technology and culture in China, is an initiative of the Swiss State Secretariat for Education and Research of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Similar institutions are located in Boston, San Francisco and Singapore. Our goal is to fully exploit the potential of cooperation between Switzerland and the respective host countries in the fields of higher education, research, technology, innovation and culture and to promote Switzerland as a leading country in those domains.

S&T Authorities

CAS - Chinese Academy of Sciences
CAS is a leading academic institution and comprehensive research and development center in natural science, technological science and high-tech innovation in China.

MOE - Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China
The Ministry of Education is a central government agency under the State Council, responsible for China’s educational undertakings and language work.

MOST - Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China
MOST takes the lead in drawing up S&T development plans and policies, drafting related laws, regulations and department rules, and guaranteeing the implementation.

NSFC - National Science Foundation of China
In accordance with the Government's guiding principles, policies and plans for the national development of science and technology, NSFC directs, coordinates and financially supports basic research and applied basic research, identifies and fosters scientific talents, promotes science and technology, and pushed ahead economic and social development in China.
